A new identity helped Anders CPAs + Advisors challenge stale accounting industry stereotypes.
Anders isn’t your typical group of CPAs and financial advisors, and they didn’t want their identity to feel typical either. When the company (formerly Anders Minkler & Diehl) wanted to simplify and refresh their brand, Anders was born. Anders is still an accounting firm, but that doesn’t mean that they have to look and sound like one.
In addition to a new, shorter name, Anders went through our branding program and came out with a new identity. During the branding process, we saw that Anders separates itself in its expertise and approach. We built them a brand to match, designing a logo that emphasizes the authoritative “A” in Anders and creating a tagline that fits their approach to business – “Always On.”
We did follow one tradition in accounting industry branding: consistency. We carried the Anders branding into all of their printed materials. From business cards to brochures, we found new ways to highlight the bold colors, clean lines and simple tagline of the brand.
We wanted people to look forward to visiting the Anders site over and over again. Just like the printed materials, we carried over the logo’s design elements for consistency. The site is welcoming and easy to navigate, but getting repeat visitors takes more than design. It takes content.
Anders understood the value of content, and had used their blog to address common questions and to display their expertise. Their thought leadership, however, didn’t live on their existing site. We rolled their excellent blog into a comfortable and highlighted position within their website, making content easier to find and enabling the Anders team to reap the benefits.
Our work for Anders has been honored at the Targeted Advertising and Marketing (TAM) Awards, American Advertising Awards, AIGA St. Louis Design Show and Marketing Excellence Awards (ME Show). The branding and website design for Anders has been featured on popular design blogs, including Fast Company’s Co.Design, Identity Designed and The Imagists.
