Mike Spakowski is the founder and creative force behind Atomicdust, the branding and design agency he established in 2001.
With over two decades at the helm, Mike remains actively involved in day-to-day design strategy, creative direction and studio management.
As the founder of Atomicdust, Mike sets the tone for design excellence, leading a team that helps businesses shape their brand identities, design powerful websites, and launch impactful marketing campaigns.
His leadership has guided Atomicdust to create work recognized by prestigious organizations including Fast Company, Communication Arts, One Show and AIGA, as well as earning local and regional American Advertising Awards.
Mike’s contributions to the design community extend beyond his agency work. He has served on the boards of AIGA St. Louis and Ad Club St. Louis, and played a key role in coordinating St. Louis Design Week. His commitment to fostering creativity in his hometown led him to create Bright & Early, a creative breakfast lecture series featuring local talents.
A respected voice in his field, Mike has shared insights on branding, marketing and sales through Atomicdust’s “Things We’ve Learned” speaker series. His innovative spirit recently manifested in the launch of I AM SO BOARD, a free job board for St. Louis creatives. Mike’s expertise and influence in the design world were acknowledged when he was named a Graphic Design USA Person to Watch.
Through his work at Atomicdust and his various community initiatives, Mike Spakowski continues to shape the creative landscape of St. Louis and beyond.
