Cheers to Another Successful Midtown Alley BBQ
With the days getting shorter and leaves falling to the sidewalk, it’s hard to believe that just a few weeks ago we were partying on Locust Street well passed sundown for the 5th Annual Midtown Alley BBQ.
This was our fifth year hosting the community barbecue and agency grilling competition, and we’re happy to share that this year we raised $4,475 for our neighbors at Food Outreach.
For the competition, we had 10 St. Louis agencies compete this year – many of them showing up to get started before we even opened our office that morning. Congrats to the night’s big winners, Spot Media Group, who won both first place for their ribs and took home the spirit award. Second place went to Propaganda and Brighton and 2e creative tied for the third place title.
Thanks again to all the other agencies who participated (Atomicdust, Bruton Stroube, FleishmanHillard, Goebel & Co. Furniture, Scorch and TOKY) and our judges – Casey Jovick (Sugarfire Smoke House), Spencer Pernikoff (Whiskey & Soba), Brian Hardest (Guerrilla Street Food) and Greg Rannells (Greg Rannells Photography).
We also want to extend a special thank you to our friends at Rockwood Charcoal, who for the fifth year running donated their all-natural lump charcoal for the grillers. Special shout out to Sugarfire Smoke House, Urban Chestnut, 4 Hands Brewing and Francis Woodworking, the Bubble Bus, and the Biggest BOAT for joining in the fun again this year as well.
And of course, this event would not be what it is without all our friends, family and neighbors who come out year after year. Check out some pictures from the event on Facebook, and thanks again for coming!
