A Walk in 1875 St. Louis
Missouri History Museum 

Compton & Dry’s “Pictorial St. Louis” – drawn in 1875 and published in 1876 – is regarded as one of the most amazing city maps ever created. Using this incredibly detailed cartographic masterpiece as its backdrop, the Missouri History Museum developed A Walk in 1875 St. Louis, a 6,000 square-foot exhibition that explores the collective life of 1875 St. Louis through photographs, artifacts, news, writings and first-hand accounts of the day. International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum

The Midtown museum is featuring the work of ten contemporary photographers celebrating spaces St. Louis uses for shelter, spirituality, work, recreation and government. Check it out before it ends in August. More information on hours and admission can be found on the IPHF website.
