Barnett on Washington Hosts ‘Creatives Night’ in Midtown
We’re always excited to see new businesses join the Midtown community and bring a historic building back to life. That said, we’d like to welcome the new kid around the block, Barnett on Washington, to the neighborhood.
If you’ve been to Urban Chestnut for #CrappyHour, or just a few random beers, you’ve definitely seen the Barnett on Washington. Originally designed by local architect Thomas Barnett in 1921, this Spanish Mission-style hall surrounds the beer garden at UCBC and was recently restored to its original beauty. The renovated building brings a little old-world charm to the neighborhood and features a grand entrance with dual-entry staircases, a beautiful wooden bar and The Barnett Room – a secret oasis upstairs for cigar smokers.
We’re looking forward to checking out the space for their first Creatives Night on Thursday, February 6. Meet us there for a few drinks and good conversation with other local creatives to welcome Barnett to Midtown.
RSVP on Facebook, and look for #creativesnight on Twitter and Instagram.
