Atomicdust Holiday Wishlist, Vol. 2

Atomicdust Holiday Wishlist, Vol. 2

Welcome to the Atomicdust Holiday Wishlist, Volume 2. This week, we included some local finds, an app to simplify web browsing on your iPhone and even a personal aircraft to help you get around easier! Without further ado, we present this week’s must-have holiday gifts…

Book - Graphic USA

From Online Marketing Manager, Danielle Hohmeier – I won’t go on my next road trip without a copy of Graphic USA by my side. Written and illustrated by local writers and designers, it takes you on a journey through 25 U.S. cities (including my beloved STL) listing the city’s best (but off the beaten path) bars, restaurants and other attractions. Plus, the St. Louis chapter features a play on my favorite neighborhood candy shop – Merb’s Candies on Grand.

Instapaper

From Designer, Jason Stoff – If you’ve got an iOS device and read stuff online, there’s no better app than Instapaper. With it (and the accompanying web service), you can save entire web pages to read later – removing unnecessary clutter at the same time.

Fuego Element Portable Grill

From Online Marketing Coordinator, Tara Nesbitt – You never know when the opportunity will present itself to grill a hamburger or cook some brats! Now you never have to wonder with the Fuego Element Portable Grill. Plus it is appealing to look at and easy to carry!

Kakao Chocolates

From Senior Copywriter, Rich Heend – Over the years I’ve eaten a lot of great – and a lot of not-so-great – chocolate. I’ve even been called a Chocolate Snob (unnecessary capitals intentional) a few times. But these local, St. Louis confections are near the top of my list of all-time favorites: Sea Salt Caramels, from Kakao Chocolates. They have two locations – one on Jefferson in the city, and one on Manchester in Maplewood, and of course they’re online.

Instagram

From Senior Designer, Katie Werges – I know I’m late on the bandwagon, but I am just now addicted to Instagram. Probably because of all these crazy applications of photos that are coming out (magnets, books, canvases). Who doesn’t want their own pictures on magnets, books, canvases?  No longer are your photos stuck in your phone!

Martin Jet Pack

From New Business Developer, Kevin Burford – I have long wished of flying through the air and with the Martin Jet Pack, my wishes are finally granted! Did I mention it even features a built-in ballistic parachute just in case you manage to run out of gas or stall in mid-air? Bluetooth helmet for playing Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” while flying not included.

Each week, we’ll be featuring a new set of gifts and gadgets from our wishlist. Stay tuned! And if you missed the first edition, click here.
