Six Atomicdust Projects Featured in AIGA Design Show
You know, 10 years ago, Katie Werges and I would enter our agency’s design work in the annual AIGA St. Louis Design Show.
Year after year, we would wait with anticipation on the night of the show, pounding chips and salsa and a few margaritas at a nearby Mexican resturant, waiting to see if our work made it in the show.
We did this for years. It became our tradition.
We’d arrive, walk the perimeter of the gallery, our eyes scanning the walls up and down, hoping to see one of our projects hanging up.
We never found them. The work wasn’t selected.
It wasn’t until years later after entering the show again and again, that we received an email from the AIGA – “Congratulations! The following pieces have been selected to appear in the Design Show…”
That was the day Katie and I learned that they email you if you made it into the show.
This year, we got the email again, and I’m happy to share that the team at Atomicdust has six pieces of work featured. Chips and salsa have never tasted sweeter.
(I just realized that I’ve shared a version of this story before on the blog, but I think it’s pretty funny and worth repeating.)

AIGA has selected six recent Atomicdust projects to include in the show, honoring our branding, website design and more. The projects include some of our internal work, as well as work for clients Barry-Wehmiller Leadership Institute, Encore, Pastaria Nashville, Sauce on the Side and Wheelhouse.
Celebrating their 23rd year, the AIGA St. Louis Design Show is an annual local competition hosted by AIGA St. Louis to celebrate and exhibit the work of local agencies, professional designers and student designers. It’s an honor to be included with so many talented designers and agencies, and a point of pride to see a diverse representation of our work in the exhibit.

The AIGA St. Louis Design Show is now open at Mad Art Gallery and will run for the next few weeks. Special thanks to AIGA St. Louis, as well as the sponsors and out-of-town judges for another great year of celebrating our city’s work.
