One of the first and most established blockchain analytics companies, Elliptic provides the technology and expertise that financial institutions, crypto businesses, law enforcement and regulators need to manage risk, maintain compliance and identify bad actors in the crypto market.

 

As other vendors entered the industry and Elliptic continued to expand, the company needed to streamline its brand messaging, better explain its differentiators in the market, and update the company’s identity to resonate with both its original audiences and new markets.

Clarifying the message.

Clear, consistent messaging is the heart of any brand—especially in complex industries like compliance and regulatory tech. Elliptic’s messaging needed to speak to three distinct audiences: established financial institutions, government agencies (including both regulators and law enforcement) and crypto-native organizations. We created brand language that demonstrates the value and power of Elliptic’s crypto compliance tools to make crypto safer, freer and more accessible to all.

Value made visual.

Continuing the momentum, we collaborated with Elliptic’s internal design team on visuals. Combining the brand’s existing logo with bright colors and gradients, we refreshed the brand to be more ownable while appealing to financial traditionalists and crypto-enthusiasts alike.

Graphic elements like bolded numbers and frames underscore the “Know exactly” messaging and allow Elliptic teams around the globe to express the brand in new (yet cohesive) ways.

A new site to see.

Elliptic is one of the leading, and largest, thought leadership publishers in its industry—and the company’s content engine is at the heart of its new business efforts. But hosted on a separate site from its main website, the content was cannibalizing Elliptic’s performance on search engines, and the company wasn’t harnessing the content’s full potential.

Developing a new homepage, content hub and custom filtering system on Elliptic’s main site, we transferred and organized five different blogs of content—more than a thousand pieces—from the old site to its main website. The benefits are twofold: users can explore content more easily on the intuitive interface, and traffic isn’t splintered between multiple sites.

After months of declining performance with the previous content hub, Elliptic saw immediate results with the new build—a stark 41% increase in organic search traffic, 14% increase in organic search contacts collected and a 166% increase in estimated search traffic. Ranking keywords also spiked, with a 40% increase in total ranking keywords and a 25% increase in keywords ranking in the top three results.

Connecting with audiences.

Turning our attention to Elliptic’s other marketing strategies, we uncovered opportunities to optimize the brand’s lead generation and nurturing campaigns.

 

We refreshed Elliptic’s approach to paid search, using the budget more efficiently to target bottom-of-funnel prospects who are primed to buy. We also developed a new social media strategy, blending organic content promotion with ad funnels reaching and retargeting Elliptic’s target accounts. Carefully curated brand awareness campaigns on LinkedIn, YouTube and Google increased the company’s reach and engagement. And to make the sales process easier for Elliptic’s sales teams, we built out HubSpot automations to qualify and convert leads into customers.

The results were almost immediate, with a 141% increase year-over-year in paid search and display conversions, all while decreasing cost by 34%. Paid social media campaigns saw a 79% increase in clicks.

The new Elliptic brand language and visuals, along with a high-performing website and marketing strategy, have set the stage for the global company’s future. As the blockchain and crypto industries continue to accelerate, we’re helping Elliptic do the same.
