ATOMICDUST WINS TWO AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE INCLUDING BEST IN CATEGORY AT THE 2008 CREATE AWARDS COMPETITION
Saint Louis, Mo. - September 17, 2008 - Saint Louis-based creative agency Atomicdust is the recepient of two 2008 Create Magazine awards. The self-promoting "5th Anniversary Invite" earned Atomicdust a Silver Award and the firm's Maryland Plaza Campaign for Koplar Properties took home a Best of Category Award. This year’s entries were submitted by agencies worldwide and were judged by 20 leading professionals spanning eight creative industries. Only 361 entries were deemed award-worthy out of more than 1,500 submissions.
The company's 5th Anniversary Invite used humor to promote the agency. The concept was that 'everyone at Atomicdust was acting like a bunch of 5 year olds', and featured quotes of graphic designers throwing tantrums such as 'Because the client said so, that’s why!' and 'Don't make me turn this company around!'
The ad campaign for St. Louis’ Maryland Plaza conveyed the idea that Maryland Plaza has what you've been missing. The first set of ads shows various people missing a particular aspect of their wardrobe, whether it be their tie or a dress. The shape is replaced with the words "shopping", "dining", and "nightlife", which are assets of the Maryland Plaza brand and offerings of its tenants.
